About the NSSA Diversity and Inclusion Committee
The Nebraska State Soccer Diversity and Inclusion committee aims to change the culture and climate of youth soccer across Nebraska by promoting inclusion and diversity while striving to remove the obstacles that prevent our children from enjoying a respectful and positive soccer experience.
The Nebraska State Soccer Diversity and Inclusion committee aims to do this through these 3 steps:
- Communicating and marketing who we are, what we stand for, and the variety of programs that we offer. With this effort we will seek to create best practices for our clubs, our parents, and our players that educate our membership on the importance of an inclusive, friendly, positive, and open-minded place for children to play soccer.
- Embracing diversity by talking about it, understanding it, and celebrating its importance to the overall success of the sport of soccer
- Eliminating the challenging policies and inconsistencies within our governance that hinder participation or cause confusion
