Thank you for your interest in coaching youth soccer. This tool, created by Nebraska State Soccer, is designed to get you off to “The Right Start”. It will assist and provide you with all the tools to improve your experience and to create a successful experience for your players. This online tool allows you to complete the education at your own rate and as time allows.
We want to help and we are here to help!
There are seventeen (17) sections listed on the right. Although condensed, they deal with areas you as a coach need to know. There are blue links that take you to additional information as needed. We recommend that you read them in order to benefit you the most. You can always come back at any time and review a section. The time spent reading and learning will save you a lot of time as you move forward in your season.
One of the most important things you need to do is to take advantage of the Coaching Education State Level courses and the last section called Resources. These sections will start your path to “The Right Start”.
If you are an Under 6 through Under 12 coach the Coaching Education State Level has direct link to the FREE Nebraska State Soccer U6/U8 Youth Module and FREE Nebraska State Soccer U10/U12 Youth Module. There are also links to others courses available as you move forward in your coaching career.
The Resources section has videos on demand for tips on how to teach technique, skills and ideas for training sessions. There are also videos to show players games to play in their backyard. There is a vast array on Articles and Training Sessions from authors nation-wide.
