It is with pride that we congratulate DOC Matt Briggs on his new adventure as a member of the UNO Men’s Soccer program. Although both the staff and our members will miss his presence around the youth soccer fields, ODP program and coaching education, we are very excited for him in this amazing opportunity. See below for his letter to our membership.
NSS has already actively begun a job search to replace Matt and to meet the growing needs of our membership. All ODP events and coaching education courses will continue as currently scheduled and will be overseen by NSS staff and coaches that have worked with the programs throughout the year. Nebraska State Soccer is ready to help you with any questions, you can reach us at email@example.com for questions regarding all programs and events.
Thank you, Coach Briggs, for the impact you have provided on our members and state programs. We wish you the best of luck with Coach Warming at UNO! See you on the touchline!
Dear Members of Nebraska State Soccer Association,
Firstly I would like to thank Casey Mann, all staff members of Nebraska State Soccer and the board for providing me with the fantastic opportunity to become the Director of Coaching for Nebraska. It gave me the opportunity to move back home to Nebraska and opened my eyes in greater depth to the soccer landscape through our State. It also provided me the opportunity to grow in many areas as a coach and employee.
Having said that, last week I was offered a coaching position which I simply could not turn down. Coach Warming asked me to join his coaching staff at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Becoming a Coach at the NCAA Division One Level is something I have strived for, so the chance to coach at that level and in Omaha really is an opportunity not to be missed.
It has been a pleasure to coach numerous players through ODP and meet many more players, coaches and families through Coach Education and Outreach Initiatives.
Wishing everyone the very best through the winter and into the spring and I hope to see you on the touchline or at a Mavs game in the near future.
