PlayMetrics and Sports Connect have recently come together under a shared organization, aligning their teams and technology to support youth sports organizations nationwide. Nebraska State Soccer’s decision reflects this alignment at the state level while continuing to support clubs operating in a variety of ways.
Beginning with the Fall 2026–2027 season, Nebraska State Soccer has chosen PlayMetrics as its exclusive membership and competition operations provider. This transition supports long-term operational consistency and improved service across the association.

Why the move to PlayMetrics?
Stack Sports recently merged with PlayMetrics. As a result they will be shutting down the Association product that we currently use through Stack Sports.
Why did Nebraska State Soccer select the PlayMetrics Governing System?
Nebraska State Soccer selected PlayMetrics to support membership and competition operations at the state level. The platform provides a modern foundation that brings together governance, operations, and service — improving transparency, efficiency, and the overall experience for Nebraska State Soccer and its affiliated clubs.
What if we don’t want to use PlayMetrics for our registration provider?
Clubs will have the option to use their own system for registering their players. Clubs will continue to have access to import player and coach data into the State PlayMetrics system, as we have done in the past through Stack Sports. Clubs that utilize a platform outside of PlayMetrics will be required to import all data for membership with NSS.
Advantages of using the PlayMetrics Club System to Align with NSS
- For club registrars, a centralized way to collect and manage player data and documents, track requirements, and share information with Nebraska State Soccer.
- For club schedulers, simplified field and schedule management that helps prevent conflicts and makes it easier to communicate updates and changes.

Do clubs need to take action right now?
No immediate action is required. NSS will continue to use Sports Connect for the Spring 2026 season. NSS will provide clear timelines, guidance, and resources well in advance of Fall 2026–2027.

Will Governing System training and support be available?
Yes. NSS and PlayMetrics will provide training sessions, informational resources, and support ahead of the Fall 2026–2027 season. Additional details, including webinars and learning opportunities, will be shared closer to implementation.
What system will NYSL use?
All NSS operations will transition to PlayMetrics by the start of the Fall 2026-2027 season. This includes all NYSL competitions, state-run tournaments, and member registrations.
