MEMBER COMPLIANCE
All members of Nebraska State Soccer (NSS), including clubs, administrators, coaches, volunteers, and participants, are required to comply with all applicable policies and safeguarding requirements.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Nebraska State Soccer Risk Management Policies
- U.S. Soccer Safe Soccer Framework (Policy 212-3)
- U.S. Center for SafeSport policies, including the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP)
Participation in NSS programs is conditional upon adherence to these policies.
MEMBER CLUB RESPONSIBILITIES
Nebraska State Soccer member clubs play a critical role in maintaining a safe and compliant environment.
Clubs are responsible for:
- Ensuring all participants comply with NSS, U.S. Soccer, and SafeSport policies
- Communicating applicable policies to players, parents, coaches, and staff
- Supporting enforcement of all safeguarding and risk management requirements
- Ensuring all required training and background screening obligations are met
Clubs must take reasonable steps to ensure their members understand and follow all applicable policies.

To support a safe and positive environment, clubs are strongly encouraged to maintain or adopt the following policies:

- Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP-aligned)
