Please join us in congratulating the 18G Nebraska Select team from Kearney Soccer Club on their National Presidents Cup Championship!
Nebraska Select became the first ever team from Nebraska to bring home the Presidents Cup National title this weekend in Wichita, KS where they competed against teams from all over the country. Their journey started by winning the Nebraska Presidents Cup with earned them a ticket to compete in Sioux Falls for the Midwest Presidents Cup. The team made it to the semi-final round as a wildcard, which was all it took! Nebraska Select went undefeated at both Regional and National events with a overall record of 8-2-0.
The National final was a rematch of the Midwest Final with Lakeshore United FC as the opponent. The game was close with KSC leading 1-0, but the second half turned up the heat. NE Select went on to score 3 goals in the second half and give up only one winning the championship 4-1!
