Nebraska State Soccer is happy to announce the renaming of the “Player of the Year Scholarship” as the “Marty Anderson Player of the Year Scholarship".
Marty Anderson, a former ODP Administrator for the Nebraska State Soccer Olympic Development Program and passionate soccer advocate for all players throughout Nebraska, recently passed away. In honor of her passion and commitment to the game, Nebraska State Soccer is pleased to announce her legacy will live on as the namesake of the Marty Anderson Scholarship Awards. Two awards will be given each year to selected applicants. Applicants will be current high school seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to the game, the community, and have shown a willingness to be involved in all facets of the game with the utmost character, traits and qualities that Marty modeled and advocated for.
Our 2019 Marty Anderson Player of the Year Scholarship winners are:
Erin Epp- Current player with Papillion Soccer Club, Senior at Mercy High School
Pla Plat Soe - Current player with Hawks FC, Senior at Lincoln High School
