Nebraska Presidents Cup is the state level of the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup series.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
Nebraska Presidents Cup Champions will advance to the Midwest Presidents Cup (Regional event) held in June.
What is Presidents Cup?
US Youth Presidents Cup (a.k.a P-Cup) is a state, regional and national level event, similar to the National Championship Series, for teams 13U-19U. Teams who win the Nebraska Presidents Cup will travel to represent Nebraska at the Midwest Presidents Cup in June; it is being held in Sioux Falls, SD in 2024.
What level of teams is this event for?
NYSL Premier II division teams, in some age groups this may also be a good fit for teams lower in standings of Premier I or teams who are doing well in First Division (this is general guidance, no specific eligibility is limited based on league divisions)
For teams that would typically play Nebraska State Cup buy may struggle to make it out of bracket play, we hope Presidents Cup can be a better option to get quality games at their competition level and gives those teams a chance to represent our state on the Regional stage and beyond!
Can teams play both P-Cup and State Cup?
No, due to USYS eligibility policy change effective Fall 2021, teams can only participate in either State Cup or Presidents Cup.
Other eligibility considerations:
Players who are multirostered, or rostered via club pass for both Presidents Cup and State Cup may run into eligibility issues at the regional level for Presidents Cup. For example, the USYS Policy states that a player who is rostered for a State Cup Semi-final or final are not eligible to be rostered at the regional Presidents Cup event.
