Nebraska Presidents Cup is the state level of the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup series.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.

Nebraska Presidents Cup Champions will advance to the Midwest Presidents Cup (Regional event) held in June.

What is Presidents Cup?
US Youth Presidents Cup (a.k.a P-Cup) is a state, regional and national level event, similar to the National Championship Series, for teams 13U-19U.  Teams who win the Nebraska Presidents Cup will travel to represent Nebraska at the Midwest Presidents Cup in June; it is being held in Sioux Falls, SD in 2024.

What level of teams is this event for?
NYSL Premier II division teams, in some age groups this may also be a good fit for teams lower in standings of Premier I or teams who are doing well in First Division (this is general guidance, no specific eligibility is limited based on league divisions)
For teams that would typically play Nebraska State Cup buy may struggle to make it out of bracket play, we hope Presidents Cup can be a better option to get quality games at their competition level and gives those teams a chance to represent our state on the Regional stage and beyond!

Can teams play both P-Cup and State Cup?
No, due to USYS eligibility policy change effective Fall 2021, teams can only participate in either State Cup or Presidents Cup.

Other eligibility considerations:
Players who are multirostered, or rostered via club pass for both Presidents Cup and State Cup may run into eligibility issues at the regional level for Presidents Cup. For example, the USYS Policy states that a player who is rostered for a State Cup Semi-final or final are not eligible to be rostered at the regional Presidents Cup event.

Roster Help

Who can be added to our Presidents Cup roster?
You can add club pass players if needed. Guest players are not allowed at the state level.

What's the max roster size?
A team can roster 22 players for the event, but can only play 18 per game (you will communicate with the referees who isn't playing each game). All 22 players need to be on the event roster throughout the tournament.

Can we make changes to the roster if we advance to the Midwest event?
Yes, but there are restrictions. You have to maintain a continuity of roster of at least 11 players from your teams league roster, to the Nebraska Presidents Cup roster to the Midwest event and so on.
Any added players to your roster must meet the Midwest Presidents Cup player eligibility policies. Let Crystal know if you have any questions about that!

Policy Changes for 2021

US Youth Soccer has updated the National Presidents Cup eligibility parameters. This affects teams and players participating in the Nebraska Presidents Cup. Please read the US Youth policy for full eligibility requirements, but the major changes for this year include:

-Teams can no longer participate in both Nebraska Presidents Cup and Nebraska State Cup. Teams who participate in any NCS matches are not eligible at the Regional or National Presidents Cup events
-Players who are multirostered, or club passed, are eligible at the state level, but any player who is rostered in a NCS (State Cup) semi-final or final match are not eligible to be rostered at the Regional or National Presidents Cup events.
